...is finally being replaced. I have the original gearknob which looks manky as fook. I've got a Momo race steering wheel.... like so...

...and was struggling to find a Momo gearknob that match and that I liked.

Came across this cheap thing on ebay and it matches it totally. :)

Should match my new interior which is being made as we speak. :) I think it looks quite good for a cheapie. Watcha reckon?

Not the best thing in the world and may end up buying a new OEM knob. But this should do for now.

ive had one of those mate and i thought it was quite comfy to hold and easy to fastshift with

So what happened to it? LOL, did it start looking a bit haggared after not too long? As I said, I'll probably end up buying a new OEM one as I like to stick with OEM stuff. But this is ok for the time being.

you will have the finest and cleanest knob in portishead to be sure :duffer:

was on another car mate not my zed and it wasnt a ford probe......honest it wasnt

It was a Ford Probe wasn't it! LOL

You recall if it was screw on or had a grub screw to secure it? I bet it won't fit, but I don't care, it cost me less than a three course meal.

I think I may. I'll roll with this one for a bit first though. Don't like too many aftermarket bits stuck to the inside so will probably end up replacing with new OEM

one of the guys I work with out here used to have an anal probe but he got so fed up with me taking the piss that the last time he was on leave he got rid of it and bought a 2yo 350Z, now I just take the piss by telling him its slower than mine so he is thinking about a supercharger for it

Same steering wheel as me, mine looks a bit knackered now.

I like my knob a lot, would something like this float your boat?

Them shiney knobs are freezing in the winter, our lass puts a wooly glove on hers. :x:

Yeah, can't say I'd have them. Like something a little warmer and more supple to the touch. Plus something not as blingy.

I like my old one....pity I dont know what it was and cant find it again :(

I've been hunting for one like that for ages. Seems that most companies make vulgar/OTT type gearknobs, but nice stylish ones like that are near impossible to find.

Who the hell wants crap like this? :hurl:

I like the gearknob si, looks like the momo apache (or something like that) I tried to get for mine but they were out of stock. Not sure on the steering wheel though (sorry!) kind of bumpy. The millenium looks so sweet and feels really good in your hands, the leather is top quality(bloody expensive though)

I've never liked the millennium wheel. Sorry. Don't like the chrome ring and that huge central boss. If it had the 'race' boss with the smooth outer of the Millennium, it would be sweet. :)

d that huge central boss. . :)

funny, i thought the same at first, but after fitting it it looks just right. Everyone to their own I guess :) can't wait to see the new interior si, get pics up soon

Soon? LOL, it's probably still a cow at the moment. It's 'Thanksgiving' weekend over in the US at the moment, so I doubt it'll be being made until next week. It's being shipped to a mate in Texas who's then sending it over as a 'gift'. It'll probably get here mid-December. I've got to find a series 2 passenger seat from somewhere, or try and convert a drivers seat and get the plastic switch surround for passenger seats.

I've then gotta fit the new hides to the old seats. I'm then going to give 'Krych Trimmers' of Bristol my door cards ( http://www.krychtrimming.co.uk ), rear panels, under dash and centre console so that they can press and double stitched on the hide I've ordered with it as well. If I have any left over, the dash top binical will be trimmed too. Nothing worse than a Z with scabby poorly trimmed door cards so I am leaving that in their capable hands.

SO, I don't expect the leather to be finished until about Easter time. ;)

Si, with all this dosh that your splashing about on your interior. does this mean we will get to see some pictures of it, when its finished? :D

Maybe...lol, although I may run out of money before it's done! LOL

It's not going to be anything 'in your face' though. It's going to be quite simple. No bling, except for the possibility of chrome door levers, no embellishments/logos or anything. simple 2-tone leather really and a new set of floor mats with contrasting piping.
