This week I have finally done a couple of things that should have taken me 20 minutes a piece, but actually took me over 6 weeks for the first and 2 hours for the second.
The first was to fit a pair of Pulsar side repeaters. The type that Harve and Tony have got. They are flatter that the standard repeaters and I prefer them. However, being as you only have a 1.25" gap to get the bulb holder in, it has take me 6 weeks, on and off to fit these bastards....But I did it.
They were a bitch to do and I have several stanley blade scars to prove it. Now I know why Harve was keeping the fitting instructions close to his chest. If any one wants a pair of these fitting, I do it for a Grand a pair. Bitchin things. Infact, forget it, I don't want to do any ever again.
The second thing that I did was to clear my front indicators. I have a UK TT so the front indicators are with the side lights. The orange perspex inside the unit was obviously made from the same stuff that they put on space ships so mild brute force was needed...and then...once you have a clear indicator and need coloured bulbs so my search for glass paint took me through several pages of the yellow pages looking for glass cutters/stained glass designers.. In the end I bought a little bottle of orange paint for £1.49 from an art shop in Derby.
At last, I can now rest a liitle bit until the next thing comes up that starts to annoy me.
Just had to get it off my chest. Thanks for listening.
