Had one for about two years. Never really used it that much as i'm not really impressed with it. If you get one, get one of the smaller ones like the 8 gig nano as they have flash memory as apposed to a hard drive and don't jump or skip which irritates the hell out of me. All depends what u want out of it. Creative meadia players are really good i've heard. Don't think they have any with bluetooth or anything yet

I've got a 30gb video ipod and to be honest it is great! My advice would be however not to go for a video/photo ipod. The playback is awesome but I can't say I use the functionality often at all! All you need is one that plays music and as Ant says above, the flash memory on the smaller models is better as they don't jump/skip which can be a problem once you fully load up the ipod with your entire Boney M collection!

As for getting music onto it, the only ways I know of are transferring frmo your computer and with the newer models, connecting to the itunes store via the ipod itself and buying the songs! There is not bluetooth/IR capability to share songs. However, if you have two ipods and a computer you can download a free software called 'Sharepod' which allows you to drag and drop songs/files from one ipod to the other whcih isn't possible normally!

p.s. Also, whatever you do, don't buy it online and make sure you get an extended warranty! I highly recomment currys as their aftercare is next to none! I'm on my 6th ipod in 2years (combination of drunken antics and faulty ipods!) but each time they were superb!

:hyper: I've only got the nano 4gb but it is brilliant for music, 1000 of your best songs and no need to change your cd's. Purchased a lead from e-bay that plugs into the back of the car stereo where the multi-changer lead normally goes so now listen to it in the Zed. Technology hey, what ever happened to sony walkmans the size of bricks and them aliminium cases that held 40 cassettes. lol

Or one of these....ive got an archos 202s...this is the later version......http://www.amazon.co.uk/Archos-204-Digital-player-display/dp/B000OA880K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1195296519&sr=1-1

if she wants to listen to just music go for a nano if not go for the bigger ones. if you buy it of apple shop they will ingrave it for you

Got a 4 GB nano, paid 80 quid for it and put over 800 songs on it. Then got an attachment that plugs into the bottom so you can play it through the car stereo.Cant speak highly enough of them. Putting music on them is so easy got all my CDs on Itunes then just swap and change when you get bored. Also got a speaker/charger system in the house(£20) so you can just take it from the Z and plug it in in the house so it charges as well!!!!!

iv got a ipod touch for sale if your intrested 16gb version aswell.....is the closest to an iphone without actually being an iphone

its brand new and still sealed

My missus just bought me an ipod nano 3rd generation as a pressie for getting a new job. Its an amazing bit of kit, 8gb solid state, about the size of a credit card. Does videos and music, although I'm still wrestling with the video bit for some reason.
