Well more the fixing of them.

When my bike got nicked a few months bike they smashed the ignition. i am trying to get it running again just using a simple enough on/off switch.

I got all the lights etc working pretty much from just connecting the switch to the correct holes in the plug, also it tries to start but just coughs alot. However there are another 4 holes which were connected to the ignition. does any one know what these are for?

The bike is a cagiva planet 125

Depending on the set up, you could be looking at a sidestand cut out switch, the emergency kill switch, or even the neutral safety switch.

I know the bike you mean, but have never worked on one, so I only offer possibilities.

I will try get a wiring diagram over the weekend and get back to youu.

That would be really really helpful. im trying to search on line but having no luck. all 6 of the wires went in to the ignition if that helps

weird how some little scroat with a screwdriver can get it started, but try doing it properly with some tools and we are fooked lol

Will do my best. Used to get stolen bikes in all the time. Can you let me know the wire colours, and note any difference in gauge of wire.

Will do my best to get back to you over the weekend.

So I am a muppet - went back and re read your first post.

UNUSED holes in the actual ignition switch will be for accessories which may be available, more likely on a different bike, the one switch being used on several different models in the range.........

From what I read this time, the bike actually tries to start?

I assume you have tried the basics (fuel good/spark present/no kill switches).

If it is sparking and the fuel hasn't gone off then you will need to look a little deeper, and get back to me with as much info as poss regarding any strange noise, smell, condition and colour of the plug etc.

plug and everything seem to be fine. The 6 wires did all go up in to the ignition barrel though. and then where the connector is there 6 wires going off from it to somewhere or other which is why im assuming the wires do something
