prop vibration. misaligned prop or bearing on way out

will i cause any problems if i drive it like this cheers

could it be something as simple as the bearing housing hasnt been tightened up properly??

But if your getting bad vibration.....i wouldnt drive it. You could end up buckling your prop shaft. But thats just my thoughts

yes the problems you are encountering. premature wear of the centre bearings possible damage to gearbox or diff.if left long enough. take it back to where you had ift fitted and get them to sort it. prop misalignment most likely cause so when you had the box fitted they didnt fit it back on correctly

even a prop bolt missing would cause vibration

I had transmission mount and centre bearing replaced as used to vibrate under my seat

took me a while to fix it, as it made the gear knob rattle too :headvswal

though in the end it drove me mad.... depends how much rattling you can put up with lol

Had a new clutch fitted on my old n/a and whne I picked it up she vibrated like hell at anything over 30 mph. Apparently they had put the prop shaft back on 180 degrees out. A quick change and she was fine.

My money is on the spacers between the centre bearing and the car - if you don't know what you are doing these get put back as washers rather than spacers (dont it myself!) - 10 min job to fix.

Good luck

Jack

Yep, deffinately prop relatated, could be any of the above, prop out of balance most likely, did you mark it when took it off?

Either the rear 'box support is fubar, they've not put the prop back on with the correct centre-rear section alignment or the spacers have been used as washers instead...
