Hey,

My left Pod which controls the fan and cabin temprature etc. isn't working but the wiper control on it is. The pod on the right works fine.

It lights up but non of the buttons respond and it doesn't display any numbers in the lil display.

wip it out (2 screws on the underneath) and check the connectors are in properly. Dont think there is a seperate fuse for it but that sounds like it could be the case.

Is it Air-Con or dial temp control?

Scrub that stupid question :headvswal I should learn to read properly!

It could very well be the Air-Con Amp module located to the left of your left foot when driving. This is exactly the same problem I had with mine, fitted a new amp and it worked fine.

One question (sensible this time) is it a series 1 controller or 2 (ie; can you control it manually to where it deflects the air?)?

Dave

EDIT....

Type A is series 1, Type B is series 2.... (as in Air-Con Series, and not Z32 series etc)

My pod is like the one on the left, the lil twisty bit at the bottom is working for the wipers so i don't think it is a connector issue. but none of the other buttons do anything.

Does this work off the Ecu?

By the sounds of it, it is almost defo the Air-Con Amp Module, and as it's a series 1 type I happen to have a spare :D PM me your address details and I'll pop it in the post to you, but it won't be until after the weekend as it's at my dads house, and I'm not going there until Monday.

Cool thanks, pm sent.

Sorry all i'm going to drag this back from the recently-past....

I have a really strange 'issue' where, if i put the key into the ignition one way everything works, but if i put it in the other way round and turn it, the whole left pod doesn't work, no buttons respond not even the wipers and also the stereo doesn't work, the aerial only raises half way too! Right pod is un-affected though...

Guy goes to the doctors..

"Doctor, you've gota help me!"

"What seems to be the problem?" asks the doctor.

"Well, whenever I lift my left arm, like this" he raises his left arm in the air

"I have an excruciating pain all down my left side!"

"Arr" said the doctor, "I know the cure for your problem!" he states

"Please tell me what I must do" says the man

"Well it's simple" states the doctor " Don't raise your left arm!!"

:D

And the answer to your problem is also simple...... Just put the key in the one way round, that it works properly, only! :D

Sorry bud, I couldn't resist!

Sounds like the barrel is fooked in some way, no other answer for it.
