Hi gang

 

Anyone know why my IE will just lock up for no apparent reason, it does it all the time recently, I have done a kasperysky virus scan and an adware scan but they came up with nothing. Any ideas or any other software I can use to clean my PC ?

IMHO, IE is a waste of space. i moved to firefox quite some time ago, which ive found to be 100% better.

Yup throw IE in the bin and download Firefox you wont look back

If you're running XP, go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select "Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)". If IE starts OK like this, go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs, Manage Add-Ons. You'll now need to disable the offending Add-On by trial and error...

I found if ie screws up usually a format & reinstall is inevitable. Is windows you are running official copy? if not probably lies you issues. Used firefox found it shite flame me all you want it is shite and compatible with very little I used over 3 weeks of troublesome use.

It is quicker to back up all and reinstall all than trying to find windows issues.

oh and also ccleaner this will clean all your temp poo out and other misc caches. Just be carful while using and ready what you tick before hitting that scan button.

i dont know what version you was using but it 100% wipes the floor with IE. ive been repairing pc`s for years, and IE is the biggest pile of crap going, useless.

I know a friend ahhherm .... who had this happen a few times. Update or other software installed had id'd the os as illegal and corruptted it by the seem of things right or wrong. backup ....reinstall (legal copy of cousre) XP antispy install and setup correctly. to be sure just in case your legal copy of windows has problems( wink wink) microsoft software and updates can and will cause issues I firmly believe with illegal copies of windows. Even some antivirus sorftware which insists on turning on windows updates can screw you sytem. These are my beliefs....... you pays you microsoft monies or take your chances. IMHO and stop calliung me shirley lol

why would you want to do that when you can use the student licence key it's fully valid and you dont have to do any work arounds or cracks ever

you can try resetting ie

 

go to tools > Internet options

 

go to advanced and click reset internet explorer
