hey,

i have a water leak. i have checked where it is coming from and it seems to be the air con drain pipe which comes through the bulk head on the passanger side just above the exhaust manifold. i have never seen it leak/drain before and i also dont use the air con in my car as it is in the middle of october and freezing any way. i do use the heater in the car. i was just wondering why it would be leaking/draining now and will it cause problems???

Cheers Kyle

if you don't use the air con it WILL break i think (correct me if i'm wrong) something happens to the gas. just use it once a month for about 10 mins that'll keep it going

there are 2 hoses at the back of the engine that go through the bulkhead (approx in the middle) that seem prone to going, can be replaced but order some new skin for your arms after lol

are these 2 pipes designed to be a draining pipe cause this pipe that i can see looks like it is used to drain water but i want to know where from and why it drains water.

Yes, you can lose %15 a year. Its not uncommon to have to 'recharge' the refrigerant gas in the car, and the stuff is most terrible for the ozone and environment.

It also can make the car run a bit worse as when its on if the gas is down cause its having to work harder to pump what is there.

best option, take the t-tops off let the wind through the hair and remove the aircon system. many 'odd' issues will go away with the aircon removed.

hey i aint really had any problems with the air con it is just the fact i have never had water coming out of this pipe before and i just wondered what would make the pipe drain water cause if it is from the air con is there any reason it would release water if it aint used.
