You have no idea what a thirtsy car is till you have owned an Impreza STI!

I thought my modified Zed was about as bad as cars got for fuel economy but how wrong one can be!

My Scooby must go through fuel quicker than an Apollo space rocket!

I just wish V-power would come back down to a half realistic price again.

I am talking bad!

I put £60 in it the other day and thats not even lasted 200 miles and I have not even been thrashing it. This is prob 80% normal driving!

Its only got a decat, panel filter and exhaust so not exactly heavily modded.

hmm roughly 15 to the gallon, all i get from my zx normally with the driving i do, mainly round town shops and back etc, odd A road blast... Did nearly 23mpg to blackpool and back the other day, was at 90 tho!!

That is pretty bad, not going to be far of standard power... Im sure if you drive it off boost it should expect at least mid 20s to 30s, i know its not the same but i get nearly 40 from my 2.0 petrol laguna... End of the day, of boost it shouldnt be that bad at all!

I mean its basically a 4 door P1 isnt it, just a jap STI (P1 had the jap STI engine??) Out of my depth on these but im sure i've read that somwhere... Figure for a P1!

Insurance Group 20

Pah.

Try an xjs 5.3 jag.

Watching the trip computer get into double figures was a rare event.

It Often did 60 litres in 120 miles  .

while were on the subject, about bad cars and suprisingly bad cars (well vans actually)

I once had a peugeot partner peice of shit from work, took it to edinburgh and back... Found out it had only managed 26 to the gallon all day. I mean i wasnt paying for fuel so i didnt care. But how the hell did it manage to burn so much, 1.9D with about 58 bhp.

Might actually find out the injector capacity and work out if its possible!

To be honest I am still learning all about them. I don't think you can go wrong using P1 figures to be honest though. I especially like 0-60mph 4.6 seconds:D

Think I best try and quit using the boost though!

Clicky

Lieing toerag!... 4.8 ;) haha

Actually a very useful site, has most cars from the last 10 to 15 years, it is generally a bit pessimistic, and parkers a bit optimistic, So between them i take an average and then those figures are gospel :D

But handy to see if parkers is spouting from its anus... If they both tie up the numbers must be true!!

that's funny, my mate with an sti3 tells me it is far better on fuel than his previous 300zx.
