this could have been me.

Was it on the Hanger Lane section going down to the M4 in the early afternoon of last friday?

I am a bit worried that you say i was smoking.

I had another thread where i had an instant of really bad smoking which has since cleared up and i put down to PaulSWZ explanation of oil being drawn into the breathers with all the sloping of the multistorey car park and the overfilled oil.

The problem cleared up after this occasion and it has been fine since.

I have been looking carefully recently to check on it and maybe i am seeing a little smoke on start up but i had put that down to condensation in the cold weather we have now and certainly looked no worse than any other car on the road. Although it did seem that there was more coming from one bank of exhaust than the other??

There certainly seemed not to be any smoke apart from after the initial start up but now you have worried me. Did it look bad? I am losing no oil or water and the fuel economy is fine.

I changed the oil this weekend after taking it easy on the old oil since the smoke incident happened. I was really booting it this morning and there was no smoke at all that i could see.

PCV's are pretty new but could have the oil in the breathers bu99ered them? would this explain the smoke on start up (if smoke at all, has no blue colour or bad smell) but not at idle?
