whats the power and fuel consumption difference between the two

Asim - if you buy the October mag Japanese Performance - it has a feature on the 300ZX and a little comparison chart at the end of the article.

cheers Chris

TT

280-300bhp

280 Ib.ft torque

0-60 in about 5.5 secs

Top speed around 175 (unrestricted)

NA

225 (ish) bhp

190 ib/ft torque

0-60 in High 6 secs - low 7 secs

Top speed around 150

Mpg averages low around 21-23mpg. Both will do single figures when flooring it, or 30mpg at a steady motorway cruise. NA will probably do a couple of mpg more than the TT, but it all depends on how you drive it as the TT has effortless power but will naturally drink more...however the NA's require a good thrashing which does'nt help with its fuel addiction.

Defo gonna go for a TT lol i was just wondering between the two power wise theres defo a difference specially in torque mpg wise aint much so turbo it is :D

Hi,

NA figures were originally 230bhp and 201 ft lbs torque for the Jap spec model.

TT models vary from 263bhp and 269 ft lbs torque, to 300bhp and 286 ft lbs torque, depending on whether Euro, JDM or US, Man/Auto spec!

It's the greater torque figure which gives you the faster acceleration in the turbo model.

Cheerz,

Jez

from new cos until you buy it without a recorded service history it don't matter how many times you change the oil the damage may already be done. :p

I've owned both and i have to be honest the TT pickup at the top end is mental but the NA is more grunty especially low down. You'll find you hit the wrong revs in a TT and you eith er end up backwards in the wet or it bogs down and you have to change down a gear.

I'm sure i'm going to get someone say that's rubbish but in all honesty the NAs sound better but haven't got the top end buzz and the TTs are rapid on boost but sluggish off boost.

Ain't that the bloody truth. Mine's still dead on the drive because I still can't afford to fix the thing.... still I'm thinking about selling the house and moving back into town, so maybe that'll change things.
