Please email Nissan UK now - 350z (Save Nissan's Sporty Coupes)

Hello,

Just read the 350Z preview in AutoExpress Magazine!, they loved it and for £18-£23k it seems good value too.

Trouble is it is not going to be sold in the UK!

Are Nissan mad? This is probably the best coupe they have made for years and they are not going to sell it in the UK.

Please can you all take 5 minutes and email Nissan UK and show them that the UK wants Nissan's cool cars not just the boring one's!

Go to their website: www.nissan.co.uk and click on contact. They don't give out their email address on their site!

Rant:

Can you believe it! Nissan stopped selling the 300zx back in '94, (it carried on selling for years in Japan!). Then they stopped the S14a and won't sell the S15! Now they are trying to deprieve use of the 350z! (The original 240z's etc were the best selling sports cars ever!!!!! They hold the record - most sports cars sold!) Are Nissan crazy? (in Japan the S13 & S14 existed side by side as different cars 180sx & Silvia) Japan have it made!

The only other option is the buy a Nissan Skyline R34 , which rrp is £50,000+ (in Japan they sell it for £25,000 or so). Plus they are in limited numbers ie something like 50 cars to the UK per year! Not good enough! Why do Nissan want to give themselves a boring image in the UK? Are they trying to appeal to the pensioners? Micra's & Almera's & Primera's will be all that's left!

Well done "JonnySpeedbump" & "Dunk" for the great email's to Nissan!

Erebos try going to the AutoExpress website! Just type it into the Google search engine and it will take you there.

Please we need more emails to Nissan UK to try and swing this! Even if you are not in the market for a new car just now think would you want to buy the 350z in 3-5 years time as a second hand car? Yes I would. So they have to sell it here new now for us to be able to buy them secondhand in the future! This 350z is so much cooler & cheaper than the Audi TT! We need it in ther UK.

Imagine a convertible version! They will have one in other country's mark my words!

And as Dunk says we will all be pushed to buy Toyotas, Hondas, Mazda's etc as there will be no more sporty coupes from Nissan.

Please remember the 200sx & 300zx as new cars are both dead in the UK!!!!! No more. Stopped!

Please help, we need to fight in numbers!

Even 200sx owners are Emailing Nissan, take a look:

Well reading the article, they do not say they wont bring it in as they cannot confirm they will untill a desicion is made. Now it has not been made yet.

then of course like they point out in the magazine, if it is not finacially viable.

They are not going to start importing a car because 5-6 people email them and want it.

They will bring it in if they feel they can compete in the market.

Yeah I read it last night, I got the impression it was the journalist that wrote the article who implied it wouldn't be sold in the UK. Not quite what Nissans official line is, they said that they would see just how well it sells on release in the US as it is very cheap for the yanks(nowt new there then?) and the only drawback for the UK market is that it will have to be sold at around 24K otherwise it won't be profitable for Nissan to release the car in the UK.

Decision to be made towards the end of this year and if Nissan go ahead it will be sold early 2004 I think they said.

P.S. I have to agree with Warren, it's all very well everybody emailing Nelson but how many of you will go out and buy one brand new when they do decide to release it? LMFAO biggrin.gif

I have to say i still dont thik id get one until its got two blowers, or i cant see the point.

Surely we dont want the 350z out in the uk! Look what happened to the prices of Escorts when they bought out the focus, Rover 200's when they bought ou the 25, and so on. If that comes out over here our Z's will be worth f*ck all!!! and considering i got a loan for mine i would not be best happy!

well in a few years when I'm actually working I will be buying the 350z the z I have now will be tucked away all nice and warm in the garage, why sell? its not worth it.

cheers rob b

MATE OF MINE SAID THERE WAS A PIECE BY CLARKSON IN THE SUN ON THE 350, SAID IT WOULD GO ON SALE HERE FOR 17,000. ANYONE READ IT!(FRIDAY).

Nissan stopped selling 300's in 1994 because it was struggling to pass emissions regulations.

The 350Z is nowhere near as beautiful as the 300ZX (hoorah!). I hope it dies - makes the 300ZX more exclusive.
