holiday for 2 to japan, would be nice

Just playing devils advocat, but what if the post is by sonmeone who isn't subscribed?

It could also be the first post by someone, it wont neccessarily be someone who posts up a lot.

A good idea however but there needs to be some rules perhaps.

As for a prize, it could be life time membership, second prize, 2 life time memberships

Darrell

a gold star, post whore signature

Its a pretty hypothetical question really because I don't think anyone will ever achieve it. Funky Si is the biggest post whore I think to date and its taken him 2 years to get to just over 11,000 posts @ 13.65 per day on average. Therefore it will take 73,260 days to reach 1,000,000.

SO! make the prize a Veyron or a mansion

No, 1,000,000th poster ever on the forum in total. Not indervidual members to reach 1 million posts :slap:

I think lifetime membership for free would be good

make it non transferable etc so it wont hold any value as such

950,000 so still a way to go yet!

There's no option on that poll for 'A good kick in the balls' or 'box' coz it could be a woman

I'm not sure whether we can identify the individual that made the post - will have to check. Anyway, if we have 950,000 now then it just means that I haven't had a clear-up recently !

What if the millionth Post, is by a new registered user, who's never ever paid any sub's??? Dont think it would be fair to the paid up mambers. :nono:

Surely the millionth post is the millionth post regardless on who posts it, it is an achievement of the forum not the user posting.

I wouldnt have a problem whoever won something for making the post.

I would have a problem with someone having club funds spent on them, that had never contibuted to them.

Fookin hey! I totally agree with you Rich. Someone has been paying all those years for membership only to be robbed of the prize by a first one post wonder. No way would that be fair.

AN IDEA FOR THE COMMITTEE?

Would it be possible to remove the post count from registered users? I mean whats the point of them having a post count if they haven't paid a subscription?

The aussie forum have a similar thing but its if you post in the off topic section your post count doesnt increment.

just another push for anyone to become subscribed but without any more restrictions on the use of the site. :D

nah you dont see the posts we delete and the amount of span junkies we ban.... 40 this past week alone (or something like that Big Kim counted) :D

Yup, coz we mods are on the ball, we ban em, before the get a chance to post.

easily sorted then. if the millionth poster is not registered, take the next one that is a subscribed member. guess this is going nowhere:D nice thought though dave
