The release has gone on my petrol cap door? I need somone to open the door while I hold the release inside the car down, it wont swing upen by itself? any ideas?

I got this too on the black one.... I look a complete plonker at the petrol station fumbling with it :(

 

Not had a look as to why yet.... Will do so over next few days I hope.

think theres a spring inside which pops the door open, might be broke

Just file the pin a bit shorter that locks the flap, works perfect then ;)

I used to have the same problem with the boot release. Not sure if the same solution applies but I moved the lock down a bit so that when you pull the leaver it springs up a little bit and stays released. Don't know if the petrol flap works the same way.
