Looking round at insurance companies, out of the comparision sites, and the ones listed on here from people I got three main quotes two from different brokers Carole Nash £828 with all the extra but a £500 excess (using norwich union)unable to lower the excess. Accademic £915.60 with the extra and only £250 excess (also using norwich union). Adrian Flux 891.08 with a £250 excess, but will not protect my 4 years no claims (Using Highway)

Strange how they wouldn't let me lower the excess on the first quote , when they will on the second one! (as always never the same quote twice)

How do these quotes compare to others?

:confused: :confused:

do not seem bad, same as what i kept getting, but flux wanted a 37.7 percent charge for installments!!

i tried a plan £690, so was very impressed with the quote and their dealings with me.

It might be worth a try as i spent 2 nights solid ringing for quotes!!

1st time I insured the zed

* I was 23

* A female (still am lol)

* Non UK Licence - so no points and also 0 no claims

Got insured with Sky for £999.00 ith £250 excess

I searched for weeks for a decent quote before eventually going through RoadSure.

Having had a company car for most of my driving life when it comes to insuring an imported '89 300TT with only one years no claims - they averaged about £1K but I ended up paying £717 with £250 excess.

I got a very good deal with BUDGET ov £520 fully/comp with a £250 excess and thats living in liverpool city centre :dance: :tongue:

Before my zed i had a 2.6 audi a4, i was 19 and i got insurance from tesco for £260 fully comp, i put my dad on the policy which brought the price down ;)

I always maximise the excess in order to minimise the premium. It's about risk management and cost avoidance - why pay for something up front that you will probably never use ?
