Right, winter project may start soon. Leather re-trim which I am hopefully gonna order before xmas from either http://www.importsextreme.com or http://www.leatherseats.com in the US. Quality being outstanding with all seams being double stitched as opposed to many kits you can get over here that have simple overlap stitching.

Going for charcoal bolsters with dove grey centres and dove grey stitching on the black. Ordering also a complete hide which I will take to krytch trimmers in Bristol who will cut and stitch all leading edges rather than a simple glue-on job. I am considering flocking the dash binnacle with the dove grey leather too, but not sure yet. Depends if there's much hide left after doing both door cards, centre console, under dash and rear quarters.

ANYWAY, I am going to strip out all the interior sometime within the next few months, will be waxoiling box sections, inner arch seams and door bottoms as well as adding copious amounts of sound deadening in the tinny doors.

Just wondering, whilst everything is out, what else is advisable of as being worthy of replacing. Ideally I'd like to get the 99-spec switch gear for the doors. Might have sourced a series II passenger seat as well as I am not going waste my time trimming a manual seat.

I think the double stitchings a good idea and definately get an electric passenger deat. Do you have the seat heaters??? I find them really good. Might be worth installing??

Dove grey sounds nice and i think it will look great overall. The only thing i hate about some re-trims is when the leather is a bit 'loose' in places so it looks like a bad fit. Even in the pic above there are a few ripples in the leather. Thats probably a bit picky though

I know exactly what you mean. I'd be fitting some extra padding in the bolsters. Jimmer has done this and his has no ripples or anything. Unless you're getting the seats trimmed rather than fitting a kit, unless you increase the padding to combat age, then you'll get slight rippling. TBH, the above is very good. I've seen some really saggy crinkley ones.

How are the heated seats pads operated? Is there a specific Z32 switch panel for them? Or do they work off the heated windscreen or something?

Yes, there are two buttons for the seats (passenger and driver) located where the electric wing mirror toggle is. i cant find a good pic yet...

Must be UK spec versions only. If you get a chance mate, would like a photo of it.

Cheers.

Your interior looks in great shape!

Heated seats - Rare option. Its where that blank space is on the Mirror switch.

Those seats look nice. Poor retrim of the Centre arm rest though.

About bloody time LOL

Tbh i think that is your cars only downfall and once you have done it you will have a very fine example indeed ! :)
