Just got the car back manual conversion completed. But we've spent the last hour trying to get the indicators to work with no luck. Mechanic reckons he might have broken a connection when he was at the pedals. We've searched all around the area beneath the steering wheel but can't find anything out of place. We've also checked fuses.

Any suggestions?

My brother in-law had the same problem (not a Z though) it turned out to be where the alarm was connected to the flasher unit/relay. One of the wires has broken free of the crimped spade.

Only problem like this i had was a supra, the hazard switch was not plugged in and therefore the indicators did'nt work either. Don't know if that is any help, but you never know.

hazards don't work and opened the casing to see if anything had been pulled in their too. So guess I can rule that out.

There are various wires that hang down under the steering wheel when you remove the panel .I just can't identify which one is for the indicator and trace it back to a break somewhere. Oh well, tomorrow is another day

Ok, how about the 'clear lens illumination' fuse? This was one of the

other things i tried with mine, turned out to be the hazards though.

Double check the conector is in properly on the hazard switch - be VERY carefull with the screws holding the switch in though as the plastic can easily break and cause the pod to be loose...

Cheers everyone, problem solved. Mechanic called me this morning, it seems the brake pedal was the culprit. A connector he forgot or didn't see which is attatched to it. :)
