oh dear oh dear

my zed has been stood now for about a year moving house knackerd exhaust mot ran out and never got round to fixing her anyway started her up and there is a loud knock from the top end(at least i think its top end drivers side bank but if ya get underneath it does sound a bit like bottom end)the knock can clearly be heard through the exhaust aswell (just on one side)anyway looks like im gonna have to pull engine and strip her down bah just started pricing parts up (can ya belive how much nissan want for a head set wont be getting it from them) but my question is what do you guys think would be causing the top end knock dont think it could be oil starvation cos i left her ticking over for quite a while any advice is much appreciated

Take it for a drive, chances are its just the fact the oil has drained from the lifters with being stood up and they need to refill :)
