super hicas q?

right chappies and chappieesses,

just got the z back from a full service with the following observations which i need your advice on please.

the front tension bushes are deteriorating ............... no probs looks a simple job

and the o/s/r hicas joint is showing signs of wear now i think what my tech is reffering to is the bolt on joint(link arm) that attaches to the stub axle as i call it.

is this a common problem as the track rod ends have been replaced at some time and seem o.k.

as i`m a bit of a virgin on these babies whats your thoughts am i best off ripping out the hicas and putting an eliminator bar or is it a replacable part as i looked on the z centre site and couldn`t find the joint listed.

apart from that full filter and lube change(engine auto box and diff),newpads cleaned throttle bodies and a good check over.

came back with just a couple of issues so i`m well chuffed.

thanks in advance chris e boy

Yeh, pretty common tbh. Fitting a Hicas eliminator wont solve the problem as the Eliminator only replaces the Hicas unit and not any of the arms, so you would still need to purchase the new bushings.

Zcentre is far from the best place to be looking for OEM parts. MJP is your best bet for OEM or specialist zed garages.

Sadly Mike is in hospital so its gotta be elsewhere, what about Zedworld in Tamworth.
