dont know how long this will stick around as these guys arent registered traders but i have had a good experience with them that i thought i would innocently share on here. I am not in the pay of these guys and recieved no discount for doing this, their business also does not clash with any of the registered traders on here so i hope there wont be a problem............

http://www.alloywheelrepairs.net

I had a little spin a while ago where i cracked one of my rear alloys into a kerb and obviously hit the front one aswell. The lightweight italian alloy didnt cope too well!

The rear had a big chunk smashed out of it about 3 or 4 inches long and was badly buckled. The front was also buckled but showed no visable damage. The suspension was also a bit bent but that has all been fixed.

They are mille miglia 18" alloys which i reckon look really good on my zed and impossible to find from new as the company went bust in 2001.

I sent the rear with the piece missing up to this place in scotland (use http://www.interparcel.com and postage of a whole alloy is suprisingly cheap) and they welded a piece back in to a standard where you cannot now see the join. They also removed the buckle and shot blasted and powder coated the wheel to a better standard than any of the mobile or small time wheel refurbs.

The front wheel was then sent after i noticed a very bad vibration from 50mph. Apparently this wheel was even more badly buckled than the first. The buckle was removed and also blasted and powder coated.

These guys are brilliant metal workers and that is slightly reflected in the price and the time it takes to be done due to the demand on their time. But it is like a mixture of stella and guiness - reassuringly expensive and the best things happen to those who waited (or was that Heinz ketchup?). There was only one other place i found that actuallly REPAIRED badly damaged wheels which was in leicester and i found them very unhelpful when i phoned for a quote.

I am so glad that I got the wheels repaired rather than staying with the cheap option of std alloys or getting a different set of alloys that i didnt like as much (i was offered a really cheap set of antera alloys that i didnt fancy as much). Now i have them back my car is a joy to look at!

just had an email from the guys there saying they will offer club members a 10% discount if you mention you are a member here when you ask for a quote.

what happened to them? Trust me they can repair anything. Check out their website to see some of the horrorshows they have dealt with!

They have a stainless steel lip but its either dipped or plated as its not actualy a split rim. Just got some kirb damage.

TBH, im thinking of getting the lips done in white and the centres in black or the carbon effect paint that one of the traders does

in the SE i would recommend a company called Lepsons - use them all the time at work & the wheels come back like new. can prob get it done at trade for anyone on here too if you need it doing ;)

My wheels are away ATM, at a company in Milton Keynes called Pristine Wheels.

Searched all over for a company that could diamond cut mine to get the exact match and had to end up sending them down there. Due back on Wednesday.
