How does yours turn on? Does it come on with the lights or when you open the door etc?

I think they originally come on with sidelights. I've rewired mine to come on with the interior lights and have also fitted a delay unit as well :D

Cool, I'm thinking how to retro wire mine in - I've got the clear plastic ring but bloody Nissan cut costs on mine by not connecting it or even a bulb. Got a led in there now with some wire sticking out.

Mine lights on sidelights as thats what i have wired into.

is there a writeup on this? how difficult is it as far as lighting mods go??

Where did you feed off the interior light circuit? If you could give me a rough location that would be amazing - I don't fancy sitting upside down al afternoon poking about with a multimeter lol!

i thought mine had been played with and wired up wrong to the side lights. i would of thought nissan would of designed the light to come on when u open your door so you can see where to insert your key :rolleyes:

When I was doing my interior retrim I had ALL the panels out so it was easy to take a feed from the door switch on the drivers side and run it under the sill trim and then up to the ignition ring light.

 

The interior lights and ignition ring light come on when the door is opened and I have also fitted a delay unit so they don't go off when you close the door.

Mine is J-Spec and comes on with sidelights.....not been altered
