Tuesday. "your parcel is down for delivery today"

Wednesday "your parcel is down for delivery today

Thursday "your parcel is on the truck and will be with you before midday"

Friday morning " parcel will be with you before mid-day guaranteed"

Friday evening "Parcel is down for delivery on monday" (not even an apology)

I took a day off today for various reasons, main one being here in case they called found no-one home and took it back to the depot.

I'm in danger now of being a serial whinger :(

my z has been taken off the lift and left out in the rain with a half done conversion. I promised the garage all week the parts would arrive, i don't blame them. It's been shuffled back into the queue so another week or so to go.

..

In my experience all courier companies are crap......

.......my spares department at work have used TNT, Shitty-link and now UPS for despatching orders. We are always looking out for a decent company but there just do not seem to be any.

In fact one shitty-link driver could not even find the Ikea store in Croydon FFS

Richard :(

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Your not having much luck with your zed mate, anyway I wish you the best on getting her sorted and if poss give us a shout when you have the old auto box out :) am still in need of them seals :)

I suspect it's because you're in the west of Ireland!...I had this before in West Wales when i ran a plumbing company with my father. Used to get stuff sent by large couriers, but they'd go as far as a Swansea depot, and then sub contract to some micky mouse oufit for beyond there! Thus, that small firm might wait 4 days until it has enough jobs to warrant the journey....we were forever driving to collect stuff from Swansea that we needed for urgent jobs, as the smaller firms would always give you the runaround.....All you can do is put a claim in and get a refund on the cost from teh main company....They rarely apologise and i bet when it does turn up it's not a Fedex truck or van!!

That's it in a nutshell. What amazes me is they don't moniter these smaller firms or pull the plug on them.

Fedex are a massive company worldwide so they should take responsability or kick ass. Just like mcdonalds with their franchises, if you open a resteraunt and provide poor service , they will just move in and shut you down to protect their "reputation". Same should apply to any multi-national company.

on my last phonecall to them on friday I told the operator I wanted to speak to a manager. no joy , told her a week for a parcel which has been sent international priority is crazy, when fedex guarantee next day delivery. she wasn't bothered in the slightest, said very little and goodbye.

I got some stuff from the US in under 4 days via fedex (arrived thursday, ordered tea time monday), so I'm not going to grumble :nelson:
