Hi Guys

I'm driving down the motorway in my automatic twin turbo and she is cruising at about 3,500, then all of a sudden without warning she will increase revs to 4,500 but she doesn't get any faster.

After a few mins she returns to normal and the does it again.

Oh and I have had a new/old engine put in recently, don;t know if that piece of info is a help or not.

Any thoughts????? :headvswal

sounds like its coming out of lockup (atho the rev increase is a bit much for that), does it feel any different? A clunk at all as it increases in revs?

Hi

Don't think there was a clunk, I mean it doesn't feel like it is changing down gear or anything.

Hmm Well it was a thought, do you know what i mean by lockup? Can somtimes feel rough.

Do some tests with it, turn OD of and check the RPM at the speed you were doing (neigh on 100mph at 3500rpm i think?) then turn it back on and see if it returns to normal. As Paul said, if it was on cruise at that speed and it was finding it hard to keep the speed it might change down and then back up again as it got on more level road...

It might be the overdrive kicking in and out. Change the box fluid and it will probably sort it out.
