yes. Once again i am having problems with this crap engine i bought from getgreedy. The engine seems to have blown a hole in one of the core plugs (says a garage). All i know is that i poor water in one end and iv literally comes straight out the back of the engine. Its up past the turbo somewhere that i couldn't see. Im sick

TBH mate you have spent a fortune on that car and must have almost spot on now and if it was a older engine 1989 and antifreeze wasnt used it is possible for the plug to have corroded. Get the plug done and then go from there. By the way stick with it mate as you have had worse LOL. Plus at least yours is a later one

dude, dont know u personally, but I've been on here long enough to see the crap luck you have had with it. I have been in the same boat spending quite a bit more than 10k to sort mine..but hey, I have a beautiful Zed now. Hope you get things sorted whatever route u go.

Gotta agree with Paul youve spent so much and had so much work done it would be mad to get rid of it and buy another.

who's to say that another Z wouldnt need any work done, you could end up buying another car and having to go through all the crap again.

I'm with Ossian and Paul. You've had some truly dreadful luck, but having stuck with ityou must have spent ££££s on this by now. I think you're probably in for too much to just chuck it in and start with another car. *Any* zed can develop expensive problems. Mine did so having bought a house I just had to take it off the road because I can't afford to fix/run it and pay the mortgage. Point is at least you know what the problems with this one are/were, and you know what's been fixed and what hasn't and that in itself is a heck of a lot more service history than most of us have for these brutes.

i would have usually agreed but its been one thing after another and if truth be known it wasnt a good zed to start with, in fact i would go as far as to say that bird was ripped off when he bought it, it needs engine work, body work etc etc etc and he has already thrown loads of money into it so to get it to a decent stage ie good bodywork and mechanically sound your talking 3-4k which can buy you a cracking zed nowadays.

 

sorry to say and please dont take this the wrong way bird but you cant polish a turd LOL invest the money into something that someone else has already invested the money and lost the money on it ie bodywork and even been rebuilt etc its a buyers market so invest your money wisely bud

if i was going to buy another one iv would have a be a wide arched zed. My car only really needs an engine and rusty rear arches sorting out. However i do agree with what your saying but known my look ill get another car and have to start again lol. I would have to buy off someone i know really looks after their car.
