Just sold a chip but when I went onto pay-pal to see if the payment was made didn't see no received money. Got told that I had to claim it, does anyone know how to do this as it's the first time I have received money in my pay-pal account.

Cheers Steve :)

Thats right if someone pays you using paypal you have to accept payment, there should be a payment table or link for a transaction pending, you then click on accept payment and it should be done.

Yes, make sure they sent it to the correct email address - the one you registered with Paypal obviously ! Then when you login you should see the payment and there is a probably a 'claim' button or something.

Never seen anything like that, gave my e-mail address that I have with my pay-pal so he could send the payment?

click on payment history or transactions, there will be a log showing payments to and from. When someone is sending you a payment it will show on the table and in the last line of the transaction details it gives the status of the transaction.

To accept the payment from another person you need to click accept in the last line of the details.

I probably made this look more complicated than it is.

Double check with them that they sent it to the correct address.

Paypal is instant generally, also some people say they are going to pay by paypal and then send an e-cheque which takes 10 days to clear.

Also dont send item until you have money in your account!

If they have sent the payment to the correct paypal address and they have the money in their account it is instant payment, no need to claim and will show on your transactions.

If they don't have the money in their account it will show up as an echeque which can take upto 10 days to clear , you also should get an email to your email address telling you about it so don't send anything.

If they have sent it to the wrong address they get an email saying the payment is waiting to be claimed, they can cancel the payment and send it to the correct address, ask them what their paypal says.
