woke up this morn (about 4AM) in absolute agony, my calf muscle had gone into cramp (not sure how), ive never felt a pain like it, i nearly cried lol

 

what could have caused this, im now dreading going to bed tonite, ive been told that stnading on a cold floor will ease the cramp

 

my leg is fookin killing me now and has been all day, cant get comfortable sitting down and it hurts when i stand up, am having a can or three of pain relief tonite so hope it will relax me a bit lol

I would avoid taking too much salt tbh, it really is bad for you. I`ve worked in the middle east for years and never suffered from cramp and thats without adding any extra salt to any food (I cant stand the stuff personally). Just drink plenty of water there is enough naturally occurring salt in ordinary food imho and if you eat any processed foods like burgers and tv dinners etc you will be eating too much salt anyway.
