Ive just got my 99 spec bumper/spoiler and headlamp scoop panel back from the spray shop, it looks blooming lush, BUT, its the wrong shade of yellow.

I took the car to a paint specialist (supposedly) to get a match, and although they said it was a pig to get an exact match the closest they could find was Hello Yellow.

Put the headlamp panel up against the car and its a mile out, great colour, just wrong. The bodyshop told me to go back to the paint specialist and have a moan to get some money back. The paint specialist told me to go back to the sprayer as he should have done a sample piece to check it was a match to the car. Seems to me they are passing the buck to each other. Also the sprayer didnt have my car for a match when he sprayed it, he just went on the color match supplied by the supplier.

The only outcome i have so far is the paint shop who supplied the paint offered me a discount when i get the whole car sprayed, which i will do in the not too distant future, but as the bumper and panel are so noticeably different i cant really put them on the car, it will look naff.

Any suggestions of what i should do ( apart from changing the color lol)

take the zed though a field do a few doughnuts etc. so now the cars covered in mud! then dnt wash it untill you get the whole car sprayed  only joking havent a clue :nana2:

Match the colour on the panels to the origional colour chip from the paint supplier and see if there is a noticable difference, if there is then you may get somewhere but all the big paint suppliers tell you to paint a test panel first, they even supply small metal test panels just for this purpose.
