Try to kick off a local meet down here so we dont have to travel to far.

Of course anybody welcome to attend from anywhere. :)

Suggestions for location and dates:

Portreath, Praa sands? not so busy now.or even Newquay?

Any Sunday towards mid/end of September?

I think the Run What You Brung (RWYB) takes place at RAF Portreath on 22/23 September. This event is for bikes and cars and you may be able to cajole some of the big boys to turn up for this. I intend to blast my Triumph Rocket III down the strip but can do this on any of the two days and turn up in the Zed if their is sufficient interest. I have a large field next to my house should anyone fancy camping out (free) - they can even camp next to their Zed! If we have someone ready to put their car down the strip (especially if it's against a Supra) this may be an ideal opportunity to combine with a meet. As usual, these things will obviously be weather permitting.

9th Sep is no good for me as it is a bike run that day.

The last time I attended a Portreath RWYB, we just pitched up, paid our money (£15) and had a blast. No booking required.

Can find nothing "officially" advertising this. However, it is mentioned on the First and Last Motorcycle Website and also the South West Scoobies site so obviously it looks like its happening. This whole event is notoriously badly publicised and normally it tends to go by word of mouth so lack of anything "official" doesn't surpise me at all. I have attended most years and its always a good event providing the weather is OK. From experience it is just a case of fronting up at RAF Portreath and paying your £15 for a days blasting up and down the runway. All pretty professional with timing lights, print-outs of run times etc and normally a good gathering.

Will start a new thread.
