Hi all

 

Very sorry we didn't make it. Got to a service station just past Rothley on the A14 to fill up. Got back to the car and there was a big puddle. Oh Sh1t! Elaine took the Affies for a walk round the perimeter for a wee and gave them a drink.

 

HAd to put two pints of water in. Didn't think I'd better risk continuing so reluctantly left, went to the next roundabout and set off back home. Got some really weird looks from people only doing 65 ish in a zed.

 

Got home and the poor dogs looked well p1ssed off! Taken out for the day for a walk at a petrol station ? They thought they were going for a run and a swim!

 

Anyway sorry to miss you all.....

 

Zed is back to Geoff first thing in the morning. We will make the next one !

Im proper bummed i missed out again me and a friend washed polished and waxed my zed i even took of the window wiper arms and gave them a spray.The car was looking awesome then at about 1:30 in the morn we decided to go get a pizza but when driving home we saw a mk3 golf gti who had been tellin some guys a few days before that it was the fastest thing around so i couldnt resist destroyin him but after a good run i took a round about at stupid speed hit the brakes hard then the peddle when down to far and i lost loads of stoppin power. so first thing this mornin i decided to bleed the brake lines anyway after half hour of messin i had to call a mate to come do it as i messed up but by then it was to late to go to the meet :cry:

Heres my end of what today was.........

 

I tried hard to encourage some members from this and a few other forum clubs to join us. It went OK but the turn out was a dissapointing when you consider the amount of people that frequent this and the other 3 sites I posted on. It was pretty central and although it wasnt anything special as far as meetings go it ended up like the last time being a good day out for all that attended. So at the end of the day those that could have come and didnt want to, well thats your loss. Those that tried or wanted to and couldnt, like Tony Mick and Steve its sad but theres always next time thanks for trying lads. Those that made it well done and I am really glad that you all had a good day. my family and me had a great time and the company was excellent Thanks to you all.

Yep a real bummer. Zeds back in .... they say the Rad cap collar is worn and the pipe to the expansion tank has a kink so effectively pressurising the system and finding every weak point.

 

Hopefully now sorted.

Hello Tony. Glad it aint something very serious mate. I am not sure when the next one will be? Its all down to people being able to get the time to come. I think it may be in Clacton or somewhere in that area in about 3 or 4 weeks because its only fair that Gaz has a short journey for a change. But keep your eyes peeled and I will let you know bud.
