No Spark at 1 coil pack

Prior to fitting the injectors engine was fine, have done compresson check and all is fine. Engine was sweet before. In all respects so its not an engine problem.

I have checked the actual coil pack and its OK, I have no signal from two of the pins on the coil pack connector. Its the No 2 cylinder.

I also have fitted 555 injectors and No 5 doesnt fire, but as its got a spark I assume its the injector, what signal should I get from the injector connector, and when?

I have fitted a brand new series 4 PTU, and this made no difference, so my old PTU was ok.

I have tried two ECU's, problem stays the same.

I am assuming its a broken wire, or two.

I have looked at the online manual and can not find any useful info on how to check the wires.

I have looked at the CAS wires and they look OK. what ever I do nothing changes.

Can anyone help please? I just dont know where and how to look further.

Tracing broken wires is a pain in the butt. If you have eliminated everything else then in my opinion you are better off just running new cables.

Not sure how easy it would be to run but should be easier than trying to find the break.

Not much help I'm afraid but good luck with it.

I would agree, my prob is that I dont know where to run them from. Does anyone have a decent wiring diagram?

Thanks, by the way.

Think you need to look at the eccs wiring diagrame but it is about 4 sheets long and wont scan very well.

Have tried scanning what should possibly be the right bit.

Hope it helps.

Unfortunately it dosent have a number on so is difficult to find in the online manual.

Good luck.

plug one of the old injectors into the plug and turn the cas by hand and see if the injector clicks.its probaly a bad connection or you may have a faulty new injector.rare but possible.

Thanks Jimmer, I have done that and it does click, the injectors were second hand from a guy on here. I should have checked them before fitting I know but I just wanted to get it running again asap and now I am regrettting it.

The injector I am not to bnothered about, I think it just needs replacing. Its the coul pack prob thats driving me mad.

Heres the ecu pin info , may help with tracing the prob knowing the ecu pin outs for the coil pack.HTH

Again, thanks. Armed with the above, and I managed to find the coil pack wiring info thanks to Cooper SWB I am going to attack it again today.

let me know how you get on please bud as have the same prob but different cylinder. have also changed everything, plugs, ptu etc so down to a broken wire somewhere.

cheers

TBH, now I have found the wiring diagram (thanks Cooper) it doesnt look too bad, famous last words maybe.
