hi all, further to me getting datascan working the guys at blazt have asked me if my car has a standard ECU the honest answer is I have no idea!! asked me son to read me the part number off the ECU and he says its :-

 

UJ A18-A98MD7 3302

 

anyone know is this is the correct ecu so i can email the guys at blazt.

UJ A18-A98MD7 3302 is for a series ll with auto gearbox.

As long as your ECU looks something like this :-

 

 

then you can be sure it's standard. If it's been chipped then the BlatZ thing should still work fine with it.

A good friend of mine has every single combination of ecu`s in stock all the way upto and including 16bit.

Aha ! I only have a small stock of ECU's but I have pretty much all the ROM images.

Andy, will chipping make much difference to my car? its fairly standard, still got cats, scorpion exhaust, some homemade twin induction filter thingy. no way of controlling boost!! (po had boost controller been tryin to pick a reasonable one up but they are way expensive) so i might have to re-tube it to stock.

 

Just wondered if its worth it?

A chip alone will make a noticable difference, raising the boost as well to about 13.5psi will make a significant difference.

What kind of cost Andy, I am pretty good with a soldering iron (provided its not all that SMD voodoo stuff).
