Of my old Cavalier Coupe and also my Opel Manta gte , brings back some memories .

In the cav, coupe my old mucker Mantav8 helped me drop in a Fiat 2 litre twin cam engine and 5 speed box from a 132 Mirafiori , great little engine  dropped on a 400 rally bodykit and painted it in Rothmens colours

As for the Manta gte i bought it damaged , repaired it and fitted an Ellegance bodykit and some 17" rims

Had a GTE, which went up in flames lol. But my favorite manta i had was the A series had 3 1.9 Berllinetta's the last 1 was going to have a Rover V8 dropped in it, which never happened as my neighbour offered my a good price for it as they where quite rare then, impossible to find 1 now, would love to get hold of 1 for a project and drop a zed TT in it

My second car was an A series 1.9sr , lovely looking old cars   .

Bought another a fair few years ago as a project to do the same as your neighbour , got the rover v8 and manual box , got loads of new panels and trim , did a fair bit of welding then lost interest in it , it sat on the back garden for a few years , doing bodywork as a job and then doing it in your spare time was getting a bit teadious , in the end it got scrapped when we moved house :headvswal

Is the black one your neighbours v8 one ? cos i did see and drool over a black A series with a Rover in it at Santa Pod many years ago

No thats not my car its just a pic i found on the web to use as an example. The one i sold was metallic blue, the one you saw at the pod could well of been my old one if he finished the project, i dont know what happened to the car as i moved away and never saw it again :( But they do look the part when done up. Its a shame you didnt finish the car, you try finding one now.

They have some realy good cars but they are not quite right in the looks department, they can be stunning from front but damn fugly at te back end.

The rear end of the Chrysler charger
