Bruce Ward tells me you can do the replacement wishbone bushes. Mine are badly worn(failed the MOT), its the front upper ones.

I was told by Nissan and the MOT place that you have to change the whole wishbones. Now Bruce has told me this isn't true smile.gif

I would rather not replace the whole wishbone as Nissan wants over £150 each!

Can you supply these bushes? If so, are they easy to fit? How much are they? and if they aren't easy can you, or do you know anyone that could fit them for me?

Oh yeah... are you local to me? I'm in the London area.

Cheers.

Mmm..... Lee not too sure you are talking about the same bushes but Bruce had torsion bar bushes replaced, these are the one that look like they have gooey stuff coming out of them when they have failed, if it is these they are availble and can be be replaced using the existing tension rods, however although it is not impossible to change them without a press it is a dam sight easier if you have one or a strong bench vice.

However if you are talking about the upper link arm? this is only available (easily) from Nissan be aware there was a bullitin dipatched to MOT station`s some years ago warning testers that there is an allowable amount of movement built into these links and NOT to fail them on that basis if within guidelines.

Unfortunately we are based in the midlands so a bit of a trek but hey if you want the best( biggrin.gif) no seriously mail me if you want more info or I can help you in any way.

The Nissan bulletin regarding the top link play is on my site :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/nissan_bulletin.htm

I can also reveal that whilst a bit of play is permissable (for the MOT) it does lead to uneven tyre wear, or at least did in my case. The pukka Nissan parts cost a packet (I know I've had two done now) but I did hear about somewhere recently that was making some sort of replacement and if I ever remember where that is then I'll let you know.
