Well, not stickers as such, but these things...

 

 

Apart from being dreadfully tasteless, one thing I noticed today and have noticed for quite a while now, is not one single woman driving their cars adorning these things is ever in the remotest bit attractive.

 

Usually heavily made up overweight blimps with fag ash all down the doors and a rack of nasty Elizabeth Duke creole earings.

The stickers are crap. Do you really believe someone irresponsible enough to tailgate is going to become responsible, just because someone's got a Baby On Board sticker?

 

Why the feck should someone drive *more* carefully than normal because there is a junior human being in the car in front?? Does it follow that if you see an old granny in a car it's fine to ram her up the bumpers??

 

It's nonsensical. Everyone should drive carefully all the time, regardless of the ages of passengers in other vehicles.

I get most annoyed when people using these stickers dawdle along at 15mph in front of you when they have just dangerously exited out of a previous junction in front of you.

 

Its all very well them telling everyone else to be careful but often they are quite hypocritical by causing their own dangers too.

I cant wait until you lot without children have them. Thats when you realise just how precious they are and you want to take every precaution to protect them. Dont start on about my brother or sister or even my mates got kids because let me tell you it isnt anywhere near the same as having your own. Thats when you will change your minds. A baby on board tells other drivers (especially chavs and idiots) along with other drivers that you are driving carefully because you want to protect your baby. so get down and get real you aint got a clue. I know because If I see a car with the sticker I aire extra caution and allowance. If it does that with me then its working at least once on their journey. Then its done the intended job.

it may or may not work to help protect your child, but if you cant care enough to put a small badge on your car, then how will you manage with bigger issues.

 

for the record, i dont have one,m and never did, my children are grown up thankfully, they grew up safe and well.

 

and i agree with someone else here too, if i see a badge like this, i do pay more attention than normal.

I will give you an example if you can be bothered to read it? My son was always complaining about people cutting him up (not every time he was in the car) but on occasion and he would be furious if he's baby was in the car and said that they should be more considerate as there was a baby in the car incase they made him crash. So I asked how on earth would they know? So he put a baby on board sucker thing in the rear window. Hey-presto. the amount of people that cut him up or whatever more than halved. So they do work. I like jemermy Clarkson but some of the things he says are total and utter crap.

although my roundabout lane discipline leaves a lot to be desired lol
