You need to be a subscribed member for sigs, avatars...etc

A mod can see the IP address of the computer which gives you the location of the computer.

if she used a different name, no one would have been the wiser, now all new members will have the ip address checked and banned if it is the same as hers

That's an NTL cable address, it is possible that they do address translation within their network and multiple people will have the same address. Seems unlikely in this case though.
