well i have run out of solutions then it just wont fire any other ideas in mind

right so we have a constant flow of fuel coming out at a reasonable pressure?

we have spark on every cylinder? you say there is no spark until you let go off the key?

have you tried a working ptu as a try out?

have you removed all the plugs and cleaned them?

you need to determine why your spark is intermitant?

is the cambelt on right?

what cylinder compression did you have on each cylinder when you did a test?

its obvious to me your spark is not timed without a spark hows the car going to start.

ok i cleaned spark plugs changed ptu and cas i now have a spark at the time i should have fuel is getting through a garage did the compression test and all he said was it was fine thats all my progress at the moment is all engine back in the only things not connected is a s shaped pipe witch goes from the rear of the plenum to the midel of the balance bar

the exhausts are not yet connected

the gearbox earth is not yet connected every thing else is finihed is there any thing that would stop it starting in this list thanks

with the s shaped hose not connected you have a leak, however car should still attemp to fire! i presume you have put the hose on as its simple enough(silicone tubing)

does the car attemp to start or even fart or does it just turn over with no attemp to fire?

again whys the earth not connected, again simple black wire passes through gearbox cross member bolt-chassis, your answering your own questions, you do an engine refit, but not refit the exhaust/earth/hoses :wack:

not being rude but when the engine was reconected have all the hoses been put on right.

yep evrything connected apart from those few bits and yes everything was connected with another zed by the side of it to compare to just those 3 things that i didnt connect yet cause i didnt think they would stop it starting it trys to fire once or twice when you first try to start it but as you keep trying the more it refuses to even fart as you say (just turn over and over and over)

also if you have spark/fuel/compression there not a lot else to go wrong only thing worth checking maybe a huge boost/air leak which will stop the car from starting.

so the 4 boost hoses at the front of the car 2 off the throttels and the 2 off the turbo pipes to the front of the car if they heve no jubile clips on them could that cause a major boost leak

should be ok, but again, whats the harm in putting clamps on them, was you preparing to take the engine back out

why not put the car back to a drivable state, ie exhausts, tighten everything, refit things not connected it may be something silly that way when you realize the faut, you have covered all these areas and know for certain its not this/that etc.

ok have done all this now engine is complete the only other thing is the egr removal i did would that stop it starting in any way shape or form thanks

have you put the fuel pipes the right way around??

as above will a gear box earth not being connected stop my car from starting turns over but wont start would this earth cause that if not connected thanks

there is a very slight possibility that the resistance is high in the other earth and therefore robbing all the juice from the injectors/ignition circuit etc...but i doubt it. you REALLY need that connected anyway so id replace it before you keep cranking it over.

a simple way to see would be to take a jump lead from the neg on the battery to a shiny bit on the block (to act as a temp earth)

have you put the fuel pipes the right way around??

theres a thought! however that will only be the case if has smithy style feeds ie.. induvidual hoses, the standard metal pipes dictates where it should has to go.
