Stepdaughter just saw this and ran out room screaming "Black Widow, black widow!!!"

Them house spiders are so bloody fast too!

its a giant house spider ffs. family of the "wolf spider" genone. They hunt by chasing their prey, hence they are fast and why they get the name wolf.

 

There are 2 main types of wolf spider found in houses in this country, normal and giant. neither can harm us, they eat bugs, normaly the type that fly about and carry desease so they do us a favor realy.

 

If you see one, chuck it outside close to teh house, it will find its way back in. Personaly I send them back to a nce dark hole.

Id be more worried about it crawling in your mouth while your asleep!!

I heard a relation of the black widow, the f'alse widow' or something has arrived in the UK from the continent and is slowly moving north through the country. Nasty bite, watch out.

 

Thay came to the UK back in the 19th century but could only live in the south because of the temperature, but now they are moving north as we warm up.

ffs, thats a house spider, if that thing came in my house, i would be out, i would take great pleasure in pouring Domestos on the fooking vile thing (if i could get myself to go that near to it)

 

Why cant they just go extinct

only thing I can kill is flies - hate em

nah sorry horrible creatures, even if they are harmless and do good by killing the flies.

never kill a spider, they are what keep us from catching all the nasty diseases

Even the tiniest of arachnids see the bottom of my shoe.

There was a spider in my bath tub the other day, not much smaller than that one, so I thought I would man-up and pick it up. So put my hand in the bath and tried to get it on my hand, soon as it leg touch my finger .... i cringed, could not do it :cry:

 

So washed it down the plug hole. I just hope its mum don't come and get me while i'm sleeping

my wife's funny.

If theres a spider on the ceiling above our bed she wont sleep until Ive got it out the room, same with moths.....

So. Is it still under the glass?

My fav prank is to hide a spider under a coffe cup or something similar and wait for a wife or mate to make the mistake of moving it. sorts the men from the boys, I had it dont to me, and although I loke spiders, my natural instinct is to flinch. So imagine my wifes reactio lol
