:( I need a garage in the Norfok/Suffolk area to take care of my Zed, any suggestions all. Fed up with cowboys and an ever decreasing wallet. Thanks. :headvswal

This is a mute subject at the moment.

There is a disscusion going on at the moment about traders on the forum.

I'm sure someone will recommend you somewhere but you might want to post up an email address so they can contact you direct or perhaps become a subscribed member so they can PM you.

At least if you subscribe you can contact the likes of suffolkZX and ask him.

Good luck with the search.

Darrell

Possibly try contacting AndyZ, he has a mechanic with good knowledge of the Zed and may be able to help. Where I would recommend would really depend on what you need to have done, oil changes etc I would do myself, anything more difficult find a local competent mechanic and for the big jobs specialist only.

Cheers. its an engine swap. I've found a mechanic who is up for the task and will show me along the way. Thanks again for your advise.

I've tried Ztech - seemed good when they were still in business. Apparently did a 60K service on my Zed, but gave me no recepit and don't answer my calls when I'm trying to book the Zed back in, or get a recepit for the service. Their behaviour makes me think they just took the £500 and ran!

Ordered some parts through SWZ Performance early last week and have left MANY, MANY messages with them (email, phone, online message system) - heard NOTHING back!

As much as I love my Zed (and I REALLY do!) the trials and tribulations of finding reliable garages / parts-suppliers are making me wonder whether it was really the right decision...

Can anyone put my mind at rest and tell me WTF is going on with the guys I've been trying to deal with, or (better still) point me in the right direction to find a reliable garage in the Berkshire area?

Cheers.

I'd ring SWZ tuesday morning, as Paul(the owner) who deals with parts has had some personal issues with his Mum in Hospital since last thurs and has hence been away but is back tomorrow.

Cheers guys - you've restored some of my faith! I was starting to seriously wonder what was going on.

Sorry to hear about Paul's mum... that sucks. I'll try to be a little more understanding - was just thinking after the number of messages I'd left that something was a bit dodgy!

Glad to hear Ztec is back up and running - I'll try to get in touch again (Scubie - do you have their new no.) I could really do with a.) the receipt for the work done and b.) peace-of-mind it was actually done!!! Hope they're getting back on track!

i wouldnt hold your breath as ryans not there, so if it was a while ago all they could do is a faithful reciept still wont gaurantee it was done, unless you took it there yourself and know it was.

Was about 3-4 weeks back now... I picked it up, but the dude I picked it up from (sorry, can't remember his name) was well ill! He just took the money and said he'd put a recepit in the post.

Is there any easy way I can check it's been done (looked at the oil, but that pretty thick and gloopy still - doesn't look changed)?

Hi Marc sorry about all of this but even your emails were going in the Junk section and i have only really just come back into work. your Parts are being picked up tommorrow by courier and will be with you on Thursday. I am sorry about the delay and will sort something out on your next purchase. Let me know if you need a refund also !
