thanks guys. got back 3 hours ago. had a fantastic holiday - weather was perfect - clear blue skies, hot sun, but nice and cool at ground level. explored Portimao, visited Pria du Rocha (spelling), Alberfore (spelling) and Alvore (got that one right). drank plenty of Super Bock and Sagres :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: , but burger me guess what i bumped into after about 10 mins of leaving the hotel on the first day!?!?!?!

decided against the boat trips as they were a little pricey (well, lets say Nim decided against them :mad: :p ) had a lovely ice cream from the parlour out front - milkshakes were nice too. cant stand seafood so my choices were limited when we decided to eat along the marina front. steak Portugeses was good, as were the omelettes and pizzas.

on our last night we couldnt sleep cos of the heat and noise outside. really gasping for water (never drink the tap water there!) so i decided to go to the top floor of our hotel (Hotel Globo) where the bar is to get myself a drink. made it to the top of the stairs, only to find they hadn't actually built the bar yet :rofl: :rofl: so i had to get my trainers on and go down the road to one of the newsagents to get a bottle of water.

...and the buggers have got 98-RON!! :rant: :rant:

where did you stay Daz or did you just visit for the day?
