When i come to a stop at traffic lights for example, the car stalls unless i slowly roll to a stop or put it in neutral before stopping (its auto by the way).

Does this mean the gearbox is on its way out? because im assuming its staying in too high gear thus stalling it.

Ive noticied lately that it keeps going into 'power mode' when it feels like it to, i have to switch it into 'hold mode' then back to 'normal 'for it to come out of 'powermode'.

You fill up from the dipstick hole, pretty fiddly to do. If that doesnt fix it another possible cause is the PCV valves, so you can add that to your list of possiblities.
