just because theres more games at the moment? surely the PS3 is a more advanced machine??

The 360 has lots more games but the PS3 is by far the better machine and, long term, will eclipse its rival. It all depends whether you're a pleasure delayer or seeking immediate satisfaction... :wack: :o

360 every time....Forza 2 you can buy a 300zx and mod it all the way.

Can you buy that game where you have to fix two mic's up and sing along when you are totally wasted.

Played it at a friends house, it doesn't matter if you don't know the words, just as long as you can slurr the tune out :). I think it was the PS3.

i have both. yes the PS3 is a better system but is getting rehashed 360 games with crap graphics, IMO get a 360 for now, then when sony get there finger out there @rse then get a PS3

as above, i think the ps3 is a better machine, but software houses are rushing out crap games just to make sales out of it. im waiting for a while until some decent games come out (Colin McRae DiRT looks like its gonna be good, but im going to sell my bell-end for GT5! )

Theoretically the PS3 is a superior machine, but taking advantage of the extra performance is problematic due to the difficulty of programming the cell processor in such a way as to take advantage of the additional horsepower. I'm told there are restrictions on what you can use the additional CPU cores for as well: they're not all general purpose, so that just makes it even trickier.

For my money I'd say go 360 because it's significantly cheaper and has a ton of games already out for it, and great online support.

And based on how late the PS3 was to start with, and how unbelievably expensive, when's that likely to be? They must truly despise their customer base. After all the hype and as you say, the current crop of games is disappointing to put it kindly.

I used to be quite a fan of the original PlayStation (although I never went and bought one because I knew I'd fail my degree if I did), and perhaps a bit less so of the PS2, but I think that was just because the novelty had worn off a bit... but this whole PS3 business has been a total debacle from start to finish. No way I'm handing my money to those arrogant idiots.

I know a dev for both ps3 and xbox 360 games...he advises the 360 as it is easier to develop better graphics on the 360, the ps3 can have fantastic graphics , much better than the 360 but developing those is pig awfull

alot of people would like sony to get a kick in the nuts, me included. the press are all over the PS3 saying its failing as everyone wants them to fail but i dont see it. But i'm getting tired of sony "our systems better then yours" they tried it with PSP against nintendo's DS and got there arse kicked :smash:

I have both and here's my opion -

PS3

Great line up of games for the end of the year e.g. Unreal Tournament 2007 which you can play cross platform against PC gamers and you can also play using a mouse and keyboard (how much would a PC cost that plays UT 2007 smoothly)

Excellent Quality bluray player (also upscales dvd to 1080p resolution)

Plays PS2 games and enhances them

Quiet operation

Quality feel

Less than 1% failure rate (like most electronic stuff)

PS Home (online meeting place yet to be released)

LITTLE BIG PLANET!!

XBOX 360

Forza 2

Halo 3 (so all xbox fanboys keep saying)

Xbox live is admittedly good although £40 per year

Alright current games catalouge

The drive can be flash to enable the playing of backups

erm.......

noisy

over 33% failure rate (I hardly ever use it and I'm on my third)

Its microsoft - I would like to change my username on XBOX Live but keep my game progress this will cost my £7

I have no reason to be biased and have many games for the 360 and a couple for the PS3 - I choose neither cos I like Battlefield games on the PC :wack:

xbox 360, mainly due to the amount of games, sometimes glitchy on games especially if its been on for long intervals more than an hour LOL

and noisy, made worse by the extra cooling fan installed at the back :wack:
