Does anyone know how much a new engine from Nissan would actually cost?

 

Or for that matter if you could even get a new one

Nissan have to keep service parts / machines and tools etc for 10years after production... even if you managed to find one i don't think it would be a cheap item and would outweigh the cost of most of our Zeds...... plus all the other bits attatched to it aren't going to be new.......

My friend works there in the parts bit so i'd get it for cost price, was just interested in seeing what it would be to be honest

cost for them in 2002 was 5K

Courtesy Nissan list it as well in USA, looks like its without turbo's etc at 6500 dollars, I wonder what the post and import tax would be on that one.....link below:
