Does anyone know on where to get hold of some springs and is there a way to test the solenoid while you have engine apart to check it works properly, any ideas?

Also how do i know if i need new springs? Do people generally replace them? or have they got a long life. Engine is on 70,000 mile?

MJP sells new ones.

As for the solenoids, dunno about those.

Think they should be done at 60,000miles, just change them anway. they area cheap, and when you get the new ones, put them on a level surface next to the old ones and you should see a height difference.

Change the seals too, from memory I think these cost more than the springs!
