Ok so we've agreed that the date for the IOW trip is the weekend of 2nd September.....

 

I've read in 2 different threads that Billing will probably be held on the weekend of the 8th.... (the weekend after IOW)

 

I know for a fact I wouldnt be able to afford both weekends........ and Billing is a big one....

 

Do we postpone IOW for an October meet? (whats the weather like in this country in October anyway)

 

Thoughts....??

Hmmmm, I know it's a big meet but doubt I'd go to Billing, but as I've said the IOW trip will be the 3rd meet on successive week-ends for me, so a bit of a gap might be nice, especially as Ned's not that keen on giving up 3 week-ends to zeds!! However, I'll go along with the general concensus - whatever is decided I want to do the IOW :hyper: , wouldn't be too sure about camping in October - although the way the weather's been so far this year we could have a heat-wave :confused:

I think we should wait until the Billing date is decided before deciding. There have been so many changes on dates recently that we could re-arrange our meets only to find that Billing is on another date.

 

I agree the calendar is getting a bit crowded for SC but I also agree that October is a bit risky for camping so IMO the IOW dates should stand.

well if its that soon some clarification would be nice!! so people with commitments can make arrangements to ensure they can attend

If we did do the IOW trip in October - it would be the 6th and 7th weekend (1st weekend of October). I wouldnt leave it to the end of October coz thats just creeping closer to flaming winter!

Or IOW could be brought forward 1 week to 25/26 August and my Hackpen meet could be changed to 11th or 18th August or even later into October.

 

BUT I still think we shouldn't change anything until the Billing date is fixed.

Billing is out - looks like they will be holding the AGM @ Calverton (Nottinghamshire) which is rather far - so IOW .... whatever dates suit you lot who may go the the AGM weekend thing I'm happy with :)

is it worth putting something on the south west area, I know you invited them along to IOW and believe several were up for it, might be worth seeing what they think about re-arranging - or not!!

Good, I'm pleased about that. I have been looking forward to this trip as I haven't been over there for more than ten years.

 

I doubt if I would have gone if it had been changed to October.....Too bl@@dy cold for my thinning bl@@d when the sun goes down that time of year.
