Im thinking of buying a Sat Nav to keep in the Zed, Ideally so I can download Shell garages as a point of interest, is Tom Tom the best to get? Also any links to to good suppliers.

 

Also, thinking of an MP3 player, is I-pod the one to get? not interested in video, just music. Anyone used the unit that allows the I-pod to play through your radio (FM frequency), or is cable connection best for quality.

Hi Barry i have a Tom Tom in my Zed i have the 910 version which is great you can download anything from the nearest beach to the shell garages. Plus it also warns you on the speed cameras and traffic info. You have to shop around as i got the 910 for the same price as some of the lower spec tom toms. What ever you do don't buy it from Halfords or PC world until you look at the prices everywhere as they seem to be higher priced there.

 

As for the I-pod i have the I-pod Nano and i play it through my Alpine header unit. It has a great sound quality and sound a lot better than my friends one, he uses an Panasonic header unit and an FM box.....My Unit is an Alpine CDE-9850RI which has the cable with it. i also use and ipod through an Alpine head unit/screen, lets you control the ipod from the head unit. as for tomtom, i just use my nokia for it
