Looks like you will have to pay to go in/out of Manchester in your car soon. must admit though, manchester has a good public transport system, and the parking in manchester city is controlled by NCP, and its criminal what they charge.

Bristol's pretty horrific during peak hours. Transport here sucks. I live in a suburb of Bristol which has a terrible transport link with the city. I never use the public transport here and never will.

 

Best place I've EVER been to for public transport is Munich in Germany. It's modern, efficient, clean and not expensive. EVERYTHING runs like clockwork, even between modes. The trams always meet up on time with the trains, the underground always meets up with everything else.

 

If anything is more than a minute late, everyone is left wondering what on earth is going on as is seldom happens.
