I've been giving it some thought and wondered if Hackpen Hill, on the Broad Hinton to Marlborough road, might be a suitable venue for a photoshoot. (My sig was taken up there.)

 

I am looking for a suitable pub close by and might have found one in Broad Hinton itself but need to check it out.

 

Maybe Bumed might like to come along and take some photos!

 

If anyone else has other ideas that could be implemented more quickly please post them, as I have not sorted out any definite ideas yet and anything I come up with could always be used at a later date if members want.

I see we're getting the same massive response we normally get when discussing meets! :confused:

 

Anyway, I've been to look at the Crown Inn (SN4 9PA) in Broad Hinton and it seems very suitable :hyper: The landlord is very friendly and would welcome us for a Saturday lunchtime meet, the pub is in traditional style and is roomy and the carpark is a good size. He would reserve a table for us if we have more than six expected. I told him there would likely be 6 to 10 cars and 9 to 15 people.......I'm sure he would be pleased to see more if we can muster more, but I think that's unlikely based on the attendance at previous meets at Hatchgate.

 

By this post I also invite Bumed to come along and take some photos, as he's not a subscribed member I can't pm him so I hope he reads this.

 

I've put a few photos below of the pub and Hackpen Hill so now it's up to you to put your names down and give a preferred Saturday date(s).

Hi Andrew - Not sure what you mean by your first question, are you talking about Hackpen or IOW?

 

And yes, if you could rouse bum'ed and tell him about the Hackpen meet I would be grateful. I have been trying to reach him for days but he's not been on this site for days. Would you please ask him to post on this thread whether he can make it to our Hackpen meet or not.
