Friend Clair has just told me she sent her car in to be repaired atVW Corkills, Derby Road in Liverpool as she had a rear light intermittent fault.

It went in for a £80 job to replace a connector, when she went to collect the car they said it was £315 because the fault was traced to a Dashbord Binicleand they had to change it.

Now Clair was scepticle so she got in touch with a friend of hers who works for a little known company called Williams.

Now this fella works with some pretty high up designers from BMW and Mercedes from time to time and asked them if they had ever heard of a dashboard binicle. So they asked VW head of design, and he said.

A WHAT? never heard of it, what car?

A VW Golf

Nope not in a VW I can assure you.

So if your passing by VW Corkills, Derby Road in Liverpool dont forget to ask them if they can supply a dashboard binnicle, as it seems from teh factory to their showrooms it seems to of been added.

Had an alarm fitted and something like the blitz one couldnt work wirth the alarm so they did the clifford turbo timer thing... and kept the blitz stuff!

I hope your friend Clair will take this to her local Trading Standards with the information and ask them to get her money back or procecute! After all, this is theft we are talking about.
