Went to the bank this afternoon to pay £1200 cash into my account.

There was definatly without any doubt £1200 cash there...but when she repeated back to me "ok, so were paying in £2200 cash" I just noded. :nelson:

She asked me to sign the receipt thing, and sure enough it had £2200 writted on it. Just checked my bank account, and it shows £2200 paid in!

£1000 extra :D Anyone know how likely it is they will realise ? Dont know wether to just leave it and wait and see...but for how long.....perhaps blow it all on a dirty weekend, or order those new coilovers I had my eye on LOL

Unlucky fella I really thought you'd got away with that one as it was human error

Hi,

Last year I taxed my car for 6 months but the teller at the Post Office gave me a tax disc for 12 months!...I noticed straight away but said nothing...unfortunately at the end of the day they noticed the error and phoned my wife to ask me to return the disc for the correct one:(...They had already logged the tax disc as being void on the computer!

the very same has happened to me paid 400 quid in she deposited it as 600 quid!!! never got traced, i love it when the robbing banks diddle themsleves its very satisfying!!

You'd of gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids and their pesky dog!

look!!!!!!! its mr pelinsky, the fairground manager

If youve got the bottle go back to the bank and kick up a stink, there is no way they could prove that you didnt put that money in.......unless you were the only person in the bank that day!!

And you'd look pretty damn stupid if they could prove it !

on a serious note how is your conscience? i would be guilty as fook.

Have you never heard of BANK CHARGES

Conscience be damned

Yeah cos the bank is run by a little old lady who has to scrape by a living and sell bottle tops to make ends meat.

Dont think I'd feel too guilty about taking a grand of a multi billion pound organisation. ;)

Normally the amount that is taken in cash by the cashier is not group together with everyone else's transactions, they are kept in seperate bundles and depending on the bank....together with the payin slip.

There are generally video cameras in action as well

There is a law relating to banks that allows for any financial error made by the bank to be corrected as and when they have discovered it.
