A guy at work has a low mileage 1993 Manual LWB T-bar in gunmetal grey wit h Leather interior...

 

He says the MOT has expired because he doesn't use it, but he is willing to MOT it for me - so there can be nothing wrong with it really..

 

Now I am saving for my baby that is due in december (the reason I sold my last 300zx) but it is a deal too good to be true....

 

what do I do? :D

overestimating the MOT a little there, could have a shagged out engine, knackered turbos and a dodgy gearbox yet pass an MOT with flying colours.

If you're trying to save, I've three words for you.

 

Don't do it.

There is no such thing as saving when you own a 300zx!

They're an endless money pit

Have to agree with the others, MOT doesn't mean there is nothing wrong with it and 300zx's cost a fortune to run. No good if your trying to save.

You say that, but you cant buy a manual 300zx anywhere for only 2k and it has leather and will have 12 months MOT..

 

I have to say I am really tempted.....

 

Even if I just bung it in the garage until after the baby is born.

You said the car will need around £1000 to make it a really nice example. What money needs to be spent on it and why?

 

Paint work on rear spoiler needs to be addressed. (just cracked not damaged).

Drivers Lock needs to be replaced.(just stiff not damaged). work off alarm remote

Needs some wear on one leather seat repared.

if you go with your head, then its an obvious No, if you go with your heart then it'd be a Yes everyday. For me i'd get it, tinker with it in the garage, then when able use it, if not then sell it back on for probably more than you paid anyway.

I think that should tell you something ;)

ud get 2k back with transmission/afm/brakes/clocks/wheels/amongst other things worst case scenario off course.
